ROSS WINS NATIONAL TITLE IN 400 METERS
It ain't easy being old, but Tyrone Ross sure made it look easy yesterday.
Yesterday, at the USATF Masters National Track and Field Championships in Baton Rouge, Ross dominated the field and won in 49.68. "I sat on the leaders for about 280 meters, and then I made my move," he shared shortly after the race.
Ross, 37, ran the fastest 400m of the weekend, winning the 35-39 age group national title.
Ross has been an integral part of the club since its inception in the fall of 2010. Along with helping build the sprint crew up, he's brought a level of maturity and professionalism to the track group.
The GSTC has been the most dominant club at the Millrose Games over the last three years- thanks, in part, to Ross. In fact, the club's men have won three Millrose Games titles, and he was on all three.

Congratulations to Tyrone Ross for his big win yesterday! |
